About

I am a photographer, executive event producer and artist, living in Salem, MA for what’s been the longest place I’ve ever lived having moved considerably from east to south to northwest coasts.

I'm a fan of truth, deeper conversations and laughter and believe music, mountains and the coastline are elixirs to a beautiful life.

My photo work is part portraiture and a photojournalistic style of documentary photography. I’m interested in creating images filled with emotion, a nod to nostalgia, and impressions that are timeless  - ones that make you feel something.

While I realized the value of documenting one’s life a little too late to backtrack on my own,  I cherish the black and white pictures from my childhood and committed to photographing my nieces who are now young adults themselves. Their books filled with pictures of their growing up span the messy and imperfect to the beautiful ... in a few, I can even smell the rain as it fell that day - that’s how visceral they are.

Documentary photography has opened my eyes to the art I see in everyday life, and of the real beauty in the tiniest moments, and in a world that whirls and swirls, it’s hard to see the grace that surrounds us let alone the art in our lives. And I believe life is art.

The story told in photographs has the power to open your eyes and heart to the love that surrounds you, and I believe sharing them is key to understanding ourselves and each other. In our world of perfect insta imagery, I believe the real and the raw offers power and insights that could help make the world a more meaningful, sane place.

With the abundance of talent out there, and the variety of options you have in choosing a photographer, I thank you for taking the time to look through my work to see why you may want to work with me. You’re welcome to contact me for a rates.
